Member Spotlight: Dusty & Cecily Breeding

Get to know the Breedings, who have been bringing their brand of Cali sunshine to Renew since last summer!

Q: Where are you from? If not here, when did you move here?

A: We recently moved from Los Angeles, where we lived for close to twenty years. Cecily is originally from Colorado, and Dusty is originally from Indiana.

Q: What brought you to Renew and how long have you been a member?

A: We've been members for about six months and joined Renew after meeting the people and loving the amazing community here. We started our CrossFit journey in 2014.

Q: One year from now, what do you hope to have mastered? What skill or lift do you hope to add to your wheelhouse?

Cecily: I'm hoping to have a well rehabbed core and engine post-baby (due end of May!) and look forward to stringing together pull-ups again.
Dusty:
to be entirely honest, I've simply been enjoying getting back to consistent workouts after some inconsistency over the past year and I look forward to sweating regularly with friends over the coming year.

Q: What’s your favorite movement?

Cecily: Thrusters
Dusty:
Cleans

What do you do outside of the gym? Both for work and play?

Cecily: I own a graphic design, website design, and photography business (all things digital) that works with small businesses in Austin, California, and around the country. For fun, I love thrifting, estate saling, and yard saling.
Dusty:
I run a personal financial coaching practice helping clients build wealth without losing their soul. I enjoy reading non fiction adventure novels, having meaningful conversations over good drinks, and being involved with our church community

.

What’s your favorite eatery in Austin?

Cecily: Leroy and Lewis
Dusty:
Terry Black's

Tell us something about the other person we don’t know.

Cecily: Dusty went to culinary school right out of high school and started a nonprofit setting up bakeries in East Africa before age 21.
Dusty:
Cecily is a subtle renaissance woman: she is a registered yoga teacher, holds a master's degree in theology, listens to hundreds of hours of podcasts and has an encyclopedic recall of information, is a certified DiSC facilitator, and has travelled to over fifty countries.

Cecily & Dusty, we're so glad y'all are a part of this community!
