He makes you feel like the most important person in the room, he’s the very definition of our value to “work hard, stay humble”, and he’s basically a reverse Ted Lasso for the UT Women’s Soccer Team. Meet Lee!
Q: Where are you from? If not here, when did you move here?
A: I am from Wales, in the United Kingdom. I moved to the states in 2010 to play college soccer and have stayed here ever since.
Q: What brought you to Renew and how long have you been a member?
A: I did Crossfit for 3 years when I lived in Birmingham, Alabama and loved it. I took about a year off when I moved to Austin and wanted to start it back up again, I have been coming to Renew for about a year now!
Q: One year from now, what do you hope to have mastered? What skill or lift do you hope to add to your wheelhouse?
A: Would love to be able to do ring muscle ups this time next year.
Q: What’s your favorite movement?
A: Bar Muscle Ups or Double Unders
Q: What’s your favorite memory at Renew?
A: Not sure there’s one single memory, however, I love the community at Renew. Such a welcoming and encouraging culture to be a part of!
Q: What do you do outside of the gym? Both for work and play?
A: Outside of the gym I will usually be spending time with my wife (Morgan) and new baby girl (Hazel) or working as the assistant soccer coach for the UT Women’s Soccer team. We love to go to football games, try new restaurants out, take Hazel on walks and explore Austin.
Q: Tell us something we don’t know about you.
A: I really like to cook! Nothing to fancy but I cook a good British Sunday Roast!
