Coach Spotlight: Meet Devin, CrossFit Renew's Newest Nutrition Coach!

Coach Spotlight: Meet Devin, CrossFit Renew’s Newest Nutrition Coach!

My name is Devin Goff, and I am a registered nurse who has been in the CrossFit world for about 6 years! In May, my fiance Jaron and I made the big move from Idaho Falls to ATX for a new job opportunity at Seton Main. We were drawn to Austin for its warm climate, a welcome change from the snowy winters, and also for its diversity and cultural scene. We are thrilled to start this new chapter in our lives in such a fun city!

Choosing a gym was one of the most stressful parts of moving. Luckily, Renew was love at first sight! I chose Renew because it aligns perfectly with my fitness goals and values. The gym's welcoming and inclusive atmosphere immediately made me feel at home. The gym's commitment to community engagement creates a sense of belonging and connection that goes beyond just a place to work out.

I love CrossFit because it offers a dynamic and challenging fitness experience that pushes me beyond my limits to find my full potential. The supportive community within the CrossFit box creates a motivating environment where I can strive for progress and celebrate achievements together. The sense of accomplishment I feel after completing a crazy tough WOD or mastering a new skill is incredibly rewarding and fuels my passion for the sport. It's not just a sport - it's a lifestyle that inspires me to be stronger, fitter, and more resilient both physically and mentally.

A couple of years ago, I had hit a plateau in the gym, only to discover that nutrition was the missing piece of the puzzle. After being a nutrition client for a year, I decided to start nutrition coaching. Fast forward another year, and I have coached dozens of others helping them hit goals they once thought to be impossible! The relationships I have formed through coaching have been incredibly rewarding, and I find so much joy in guiding others on their fitness and nutrition journeys.

I love nutrition coaching because it has empowered me to take control of my health and well-being. Through lots of guidance and support, I have learned how to make informed choices about my diet, leading to improved energy levels, better performance in my workouts, and overall enhanced quality of life. The knowledge and tools gained from being both a nutrition client and coach have not only helped me achieve my fitness goals but have also created a sense of confidence and self-care that extends into all aspects of my life. Embracing the principles of nutrition has become a super rewarding journey of both self-discovery and self-improvement, making me passionate about sharing its benefits with others.
